Hi Carly,

First, go to Settings, General Settings, Playlist and turn 
Recursively Insert Directories on.  Then find the folder containing 
all your music.  Then go to the file browser menu.  On the iPod, you 
do this by holding Select for about a second; I'm not sure how you do 
it on other players.  The first choice in this menu is Playlist; 
select that, then select Insert Shuffled.  Your tracks will start 
playing in shuffled order.
