hi, did you set up the voicing of directories and files name, via general
setting and voices?
in order for it to talk the directorys and files, it must be set to talk
mp3 clip.

Sorry to keep posting but I left out another error message. When I type
control speech in the run command prompt, I get this error.
The requested task cannot be carried out because the necessary engine could
not be created. Please select a different engine and/or a different audio
device.
When I click OK, it puts me on the speech recognition property sheet. I can
then navigate to the speech property sheet, and that's when I get all the
errors in the previous message. Also, i've now tried to use a different
microsoft voice, with the same results.
Hope you can help, and sorry for all the posts and silly newby questions.
