Hi Bryan, yes I agree, J-Tunes 3.2 isn't all that sluggish and it is
certainly usable. It's not like the scripts crawl to the point it's
unbearable. Please take your time to fix this issue, and make sure that you
get J-Tunes working on as many machines as possible. Looking forward to
future updates though. By the way, did anyone get the post regarding Music
Rescue? I sent it a few days ago, but haven't heard anything in terms of
comments or feedback. If you didn't receive it, that's fine; I'll just send
it again. In short, Music Rescue allows you to transfer music from your Ipod
back to your PC. Thanks Bryan for the hard work, and keep it up.

Hi Chris
No, this would need a bit of reworking and to be honest with you, I
don't find it that sluggish. It is certainly usable. Even as I say when
I have installed it and used it across the internet accessing customers'
computers I don't find it a real problem. In the next update we do after
this one I will certainly escalate that up the priority list, please be
assured of that, but first I must address issues which prevent the
product from actually working on some machines which I am sure you will
appreciate. Then we can start looking at other areas.
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi brian,

was this at all able to be fixed or tweeked?
thanks,
Chris

Try increasing the screen resolution. We did a lot of experimenting
with this last week as I have was wanting to resolve this and one
other
specific problem relating to older jaws versions which is now fixed by
the way. We found that if the screen res was low, 800 by 600, the buy
track button was hardly visible even to a sighted person let alone
jaws
and so it could not be activated. Providing the res is increased and
everything is set correctly in line with the J-Tunes manual we could
not
duplicate the problem.
We'll check the pressing Enter on the track title but again this is
not
something which has arisen on our machines or any which I have set up
for J-Tunes customers via our remote service.
Finally, I don't see why you could not have J-Tunes on a USB drive
with
jaws 9.
We will be releasing an update shortly now that the people who were
having difficulties with older jaws versions have tested it, and they
have reported back that the problem is resolved.

Subject: [blindipod] iTunes store questions, and J-Tunes demo.
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been covered before...but I haven't checked up on
the
list for a while.
I'm trying to purchase a song on the iTunes Store, but when I hit the
J-Tunes key and then B, JAWS tells me the buy track button could not
be
located. According to the manual for J-Tunes 3.2, it says you don't
have
to uncheck all the options in the view preferences like in previous
versions. I tried that just in case, and it still said the button
could
not be located. I made sure the iTunes window was maximized, and tried
closing iTunes and opening it again. Any ideas?
One more question about the iTunes store as long as I'm asking about
it.
Most of the time when I hit enter to sample a song, JAWS will keep
repeating the name of the song until I either switch to another
program,
or minimize to the desktop and alt tab back into iTunes. It is really
annoying!
One last question. Given that FS released a version of JAWS 9 for
thumb
drives, would it be possible to put a demo of J-Tunes 3.2 in there? I
just thought that might be nice to have if I ever wanted to take a
quick
look at someone's iTunes library, like when I visit my family or
friends.

Subject: [blindipod] jTunes Demo
I am using Windows Vista and the latest versions of iTunes and jTunes.
I have downloaded the demo and it works perfectly for the ten minute
demo period. Now before when the demo run out, it was still possible
to
use iTunes and read things like track names while jTunes kept
reminding
you that your demonstration had expired. So I thought I could do this
for a while to try jTunes out on my Vista laptop. However, once the
ten
minute demo expires, jTunes seems to freeze. JAWS keeps announcing
that
my demo has expired, but while using the arrows etc nothing is spoken.
I
can't play tracks and iTunes won't shut down so I can restart the
computer. When I go to Task Manager I am told that iTunes is not
responding.
Any ideas why iTunes seems to freeze after the demo of jTunes expires?
I've never had this problem before.
