Hi Barbara,

Anapod Explorer lets you copy files to your iPod in the same way you would with 
Windows Explorer.  It works well with big iPods.  If all you want to put on a 
second generation iPod Shuffle is MP3 files, you can use it for that too, but 
if you do, Audible books won't keep their place, and you won't be able to play 
AAC or protected iTunes content.

believe.  It is a link on Brian's audio portability portal at
www.hartgen.org if I'm wrong about that link.  It works well and is very
accessible.

I'm quite sure you have to use iTunes or Anapod to put Audible content an
iPod; Windows Explorer won't do the trick.

I currently play Audible books on an iPod Shuffle, loading them via iTunes.
I am planning to change to using an iPod Nano for this purpose. Can I
by-pass iTunes and paste the Audible books onto the Nano using Windows
Explorer?
