[blindipod] assorted questions

Hi all,
I am a new user to the i pod and new to the list. Firstly, I was
wondering if itunes is the only software I can use with an i pod.
Itunes is not that accessible, and I can't afford to buy scripts
right now, so was wondering if other software was out there. Also,
soI was wondering if I can download pod casts to my ipod? How do I do this.
