[blindipod] Tagging/Renaming Question

Hi all,
My name is Chris, and I have been lurking on the list for a while
now. While I have been saving up for a player to replace my old mp3
cd player with, I have taken to buying songs and albums online,
mostly on allofmp3.com which I discovered thanks to the recent
discussion on this list.
The problem I am having is that I use a very particular file naming
scheme that works well forme, one that none of the online stores use.
I tried using allofMP3's alltunes software, but have found it very
frustrating to use with Windoweyes. I sometimes use Musicbrainz
tagger, but it often fails to identify the files or, even worse,
misidentifies them. All of these leave me with a lot of manual renaming work.
While the hand renaming is not overly difficult, it is tedious and
time consuming. I was hoping that someone out there has experience
with ayn applications, freeware or otherwise, that can help with this
and that works well with screenreaders.
Thanks,
Chris
