Hi Mike,

Choosing iTunes as your media player is all you should have to do.  Any 
podcasts you download after making that choice are added to the iTunes 
library in a playlist named for the podcast.  And when you use Cleanup, 
items are removed from the iTunes library as well as from your podcasts 
folder.
