Hello Martin,

It sounds like your computer is sufficiently powerful to run JAWS 7 and
iTunes 7.6 so I don't think that's the trouble you're having here.

The "Unknown Function Call..." error messages you're getting suggest to me
that either JAWS or J-Tunes settings are corrupted. Probably from your
earlier attempt at installation. What I'd recommend first before going any
further is to remove the J-Tunes scripts and take a repair of JAWS. Remember
to reboot your system after the JAWS repair process is complete.

After repairing JAWS, reinstall J-Tunes again. The J-Tunes installer may
give you the option of taking a repair of J-Tunes. If so, do that. Remember
to reboot your system after re-installing J-Tunes. You shouldn't have to
re-authorize.

After you repaired JAWS and repaired or reinstalled J-Tunes, see if those
"Unknown Function Call" messages return to plague you again.

By the way, notice that during this repair process you don't have to do
anything to iTunes.

Let us know how that goes!

Okay so I messed up the first time but I now have the scripts working with
Itunes 7.6
 
However, I have noticed a few problems so far.
 
Firstly, I'm using a PC that is three years old with a gig of RAM, running
XP SP2 and Jaws 7.
 
When clicking on Itunes my PC freezes up for about 30 seconds before
speaking Itunes.
When in Itunes if you do a screen refresh it freezes again for about 30
seconds.
 
I can't get F12 to work in the music library.  When I press F12 Jaws
announces 'view menu'.
I've tried it in various columns of the library but no joy.
O I'm in brouse mode by the way.
However, it does work fine in a play list.
 
Finally, when deleting a track you get the dialogue box asking if you are
sure.
If you press the tab key jaws says 'unknown call to function' and then a
load of gobble.
This happens everytime you press the tab key in this dialogue box.
But if you press insert and 5 jaws does tell you the word you are on i.e.
remove.
 
I haven't tried it in any other deleting dialogue boxes yet.
 
I will continue testing before upgrading my main music PC which has over
11000 songs on it.
