Hi Gene,
I don't think deleting the album artwork folder will mess up your library,
but I haven't tried it to be sure. You could also try selecting everything in
your library within iTunes, and selecting remove artwork from the context menu.
That is probably what I would do.
I am opposite from you. I also have no vision, yet I like having the artwork
there. I guess that is because all of the songs I've purchased from the iTunes
store have it, and since iTunes versions higher than 7 let you download it for
free, I might as well. I've spend quite a bit of time playing with the tag info
in my music - in some cases completely changing how an album is named, just so
iTunes will download the art. You have to make it match the info with the way
the iTunes Store has it exactly.
Brian

Subject: [blindipod] ITunes Artwork
Hi: Can anyone give me some information on the results of deleting the
Artwork folder for ITunes. It is quite large and I need the disc space. Since
I am completely sightless I don't need the artwork, but I am hesitant to delete
the folder without being sure that it will not blow away my music library.
Thanks, Gene
