To Shane, Nicki, and others:

As you might know from prior posts, I am using iTunes actively but face a
similar decision to Nicki's, relative to buying an iPod later this year. I
want to use it for music, audiobooks, and podcasts. Aside from storage
capacity--I realize 30 GB is a lot--what other advantage would there be to
own the iPod Video as opposed to the Shuffle? Is there a marked difference
in cost between new units of the Video and the Shuffle? Considering what
I've read in these pages, I wouldn't go for the Nano at this time.

Also, what does the RockBox firmware cost? (I understand used equipment or
firmware might be cheaper than buying new; but I like the point of
comparison and ordinarily feel I should buy new in order to get warranties,
etc.)

Thanks to all.

-Kane
