HI Anna,

Thanks for your input. I might go for AnnaPod, because it seems that here
in the U.S., the scripts don't work with jaws 8 for Itunes 7, and I don't
think, since it will be a new model, that I can use 6.

According to the Rock box FAQ, no, it doesn't work with the 80-GB yet. I am
going for the 30-GB I think or maybe the 60 at most, but amazon was out of
those, so unless Circuit city has them when we go there this weekend, I
really think I'm going for the 30. Again, thanks for your input and also
about Annapod, which also is cheaper than the scripts are selling for in the
U.S., which if I read it right, is $99. I am not above paying for scripts,
but never paid that much for them. I, too, am interested in what you are
using, Shane.

Thanks for everyone's help so far.

Hi Nicki,

You can only use Anapod to transfer content that will be played by the Apple
firmware. You might want it for transferring Audible books, though. iTunes
is usable, but I would imagine it would be difficult to use without scripts
or set files. Shane, are you using either scripts or set files to use
iTunes? Windows Explorer is great for transferring files to be played with
Rockbox.

It sounds like you're going for the iPod Video anyway, but just in case you
consider a Nano, keep in mind that Rockbox only works on the first
generation Nano. I also don't think it works on the 80 GB iPod Video,
though I could be wrong about that.

I've been using a Nano with Rockbox since last summer and have been pleased
with it. It's great to have a mainstream player that talks. And I
routinely switch between the Apple firmware and Rockbox.

Cheers,
Anna
