Hi Brett,
Many thanks, this did the trick.
I had for some wierd reason not explored the System option. Knowing the
battery level helps a great deal.

Hi,
You can check on the battery level by bringing up the menus, go in to system,
then in to Rockbox info. this will give you the battery level, time and date.
Hope this helps,
brett.

Subject: [blindipod] More Rockbox questions...
Hello all,
Below are a few questions about some of the Rockbox features that I have
not been able to fully figure out:
1. The 'Recent bookmarks' option appears in the menu, but nothing comes up
when I click on it. I did set the Bookmarks feature to Yes in the settings.
Should Rockbox ideally display a list of bookmarks and announce their
names? Does it assign names to bookmarks by default? If not, in what way is
this 'Recent bookmarks' option useful?
2. Does Rockbox indicate the battery level in some manner? For example, is
it possible to set the iPod to beep when battery dips below a certain level?
3. How does the Play lists option work?
4. What does the Recording screen option actually do? I selected it and my
iPod crashed.
Thanks as ever for your responses.
Geetha
