Hi Shane,

Yes, the recorder option has caused me some grief too during my
experimentation; I have decided to leave it alone for the moment.
I did however manage to figure out some of the bookmark-related issues using
the Rockbox manual.
Also, it is mentioned in the manual that they are working on the battery
issue, so no help on that front at present.

I would however like to know how other iPod users here keep track of battery
usage. Do you let the battery drain out altogether before charging, or be
overcautious and charge it daily?
Does using Rockbox reduce the battery life of an iPod? If yes, how long do
the batteries last with Rockbox?
I was told that iPod video normally runs for 12 hours for one charge. By how
much is this reduced when one uses Rockbox?

Hi, Geetha. I'll tackle one of your questions. I think that recording
screen is for when you have a player which actually supports recording as an
option. I don't know if the iPods do this. I know you can record under the
Apple firmware if you have one of the little recording devices from Griffin or
Belkin, but I don't know if we can do this under Rockbox. Ever time I go into
that menu, I have to re-boot my iPod video. I hope this is helpful, and I'm
looking forward to any and all discussion concerning this topic.
