HI Barbara,
If you use lower bit rates, the files take up less space but may not
sound as good. I have a lot of my collection at 128 kbps, which I
think sounds fine, but depending on the music, you may be able to go
as low as 80. Some things sound okay at 64, but not all. Experiment
until you find a compression rate you like. Or you can buy external
hard drives for not too much money and increase your storage space.
