Hi
There is a voice UI for the IPod, but not sure what the status is of it yet.
are you subscribed to the rockbox mailing list?
also take a look at the website it should tell you the current status. Yes
it is working, but in very very early stages. The IRiver H340 is still a
better choice at this stage for using rockbox.
Hope this helps.
Scott

Subject: [blindipod] Rockbox on the Ipod
Greetings List,
I note that Rockbox has been ported to the Ipod.
Having tried this firmware on my Iriver in the past I have been quite
impressed with it.
I have just aquired an Ipod Video 60, and am considering the Rockbox
software on it mainly due to my positive experiences with it on the Iriver
in the past.
I do note that some of the listed bugs relating to the Ipod port include.
* not playing .voice files
* Skips in audio playback due to non optimized codecs
Has anyone on this list tried Rockbox on the Ipod yet, and if so, what was
your experience with it?
Did you find any of the above bugs applied in your particular setup, or
are the bugs limited to specific players?
I note that the bug relating to .voice playback has only been confirmed on
the Nano, but the reporter suspects that this would probably be the case
for all players.
I am particularly interested in switching to Rockbox, firstly because I
like being able to navigate folders with some sort of speech feedback, but
mainly because the firmware on the Ipod Video is still not gapless, which
I find some what of an anoyance.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers
Mitch
