hi anna
I just redid all in speex and it is still not doing the voice at all.
when i set it to play the voice files and deactivate the spell stuff, it is 
silence all over on any files until i turn back on the spell function, but in 
neither case do i hear the voice clips i created.
I do not know what else to do. the entire rockbox filesystem is kind of 
confusing to me, the way it stores and organizes my music as opposed to the way 
i was used to with the pod system.
only reason i wanted to give the rockbox a try was the opportunity to somehow 
have it speak to me and make ipod more accesible to let me know what music i 
have without the need to play all to listen in.

so since accesibility does not work (guess i am missing something in 
installation or settings I am not aware of) I will keep using the apple system 
and try to just play what i have at random an add files with sighte assistence, 
bummer....thanks again for trying to help.
if you can think of anything else i may need to try here, please let me know.
