hi anna
i will try and redo everything in speex again. i so hope it works. the
instructions for this auto installer were a little not tooo detail.
i hope i got it all right. i just chose the ipod folder and it did dump the
created files into the music folder there,
i will double check the voice settings too. do i need to disable the spelling
when i have the play clips activated, or does it matter?
thanks for your help
have a great day!
take care chrissy

Hi Chrissy,
The voice files should be in Speex format. To get the iPod to play them, go
into Settings/General Settings/Voice. One of the choices on this menu is Use
Directory .talk Clips. Be sure this is set to yes. Another choice on that menu
is Use File .talk Clips. Be sure that's set to yes as well. The Voice Filenames
and Voice Directories options control Rockbox's behavior when no .talk clip
exists for a file or folder.
HTH,
Anna
