Hi Kurt,
Napster has two plans that you pay for. Napster Premium lets you download
songs onto your computer, as well as listen to all the Napster radio
stations and play lists. In order to download the actual WMA files onto
your machine, you need to make sure to set it in your tools menu. If you
have questions about specifics, I can look it up for you. The Napster To Go
plan costs two additional dollars a month and lets you put your songs onto
certain compatible players. I think there are some Creative players on that
list, but am not sure if the Stone is one of them. I think they want you to
use Windows Media Player to sync your Zen Stone and download Napster tracks
onto it. When you cancel your subscription, your songs will no longer play.
The only solution I know of is to use a DRM stripping program such as Sound
Taxi. This might or might not be illegal, technically speaking. My guess
is that it is, for what that's worth. HTH.

Subject: [blindipod] napster question
Napster supposedly has two plans, one where you can play music on your
computer which puts WMA files on your computer that you can play. The
other allows you to put music on portable devices. How does that work,
because I copied the files and they didn't play on my Zenn, and do you
lose the use of your WMA music if you leave Napster? Thanks. Kurt
