hi all
i am new to the list and hope that someone can point me n the rightdirection
or help in some way.
i have downloaded and successfully installed rockbox on my 4th generation
greyscale ipod.
now i found that all files are spelled with voice instead of being spoken
properly. i understand the limits of rockbox software and all so i went and
installed the auto voice creator they offer.
so far so good, but then when i thought it all worked out good, no error
messages no anything, i still do not get a spoken song title etc.
i tried speex and also mp3 as the help file does not tell you which one.
help files are a lot out there at rockbox but for me anyways very confusing.
i tried different voice settings but nothing happens. if i turn spell off
and use voice file instead, nothing, i turn spell on it spells, but no voice
file.
i think it is very nice that rockbox tries to keep the blind userin mind,
but they need to be clearer in their guide tutorials, i am certainly not pc
illiterate but no crack either.
so maybe there is someone here that cann, step by step introduce me to the
steessfree art of having files that actually work in the ipod...
thanks in andvance!:-)
take care,
chrissy
