Hi John,
My guess is that you have the old firmware of the Stream, and haven't
created the $vrnotes folder on your SD card. Check that the $vrnotes folder
exists. Better yet, update your firmware, and the Stream will create it for
you if it is missing.
All the best
Steve

Battery removal did not work and no I do not have anything plugged in to the
Stream.
Will contact Humanware - as I stay in Scotland would it not be better to
contact them in the UK?

Hi John,
This is probably a silly question, but you don't by any chance have
something plugged into the microphone jack, do you? If you did and it wasn't
a microphone, it might prevent the Stream from recording. That's the only
thing I can think of; your best bet is probably to contact HumanWare Canada
tech support. Good luck.
Anna
