  I think that's the link. be sure to get the latest build of rockbox and the 
latest voice file. Don't worry, your ipod is _not_ currupted, its impossible, 
and if rockbox is working, its not to blame. I have an ipod video, with 
rockbox, voice is working perfectly.

    Hello, everyone.  I am having a great deal of trouble with my IPod Video 
30G and the latest current build of RockBox.  Actually, this started yesterday. 
 Apparently, the menus have changed, or something major has happened, because 
now, speech does not work.  It tries to say certain things, but alas, it is 
totally unusable by a blind person.  I have asked for sighted assistance from 
two different persons, and RockBox is working ok.  Can anyone help, and is 
anyone brave enough to try this one?  If RockBox or the voice file are not to 
blame, I may have a seriously corrupted IPod.  Any discussion and/or experience 
with this situation will be very much appreciated.
