Merrill Louise,

Thanks for your assistance. The blindcooltech site also had a report on the
Victor Classic Reader Plus.

The plextalk ptr1 (no longer available--there's a ptr2) is the size
and weight of a print hard cover book. It has a builtin microphone and
speaker with *very* good playback sound. You can record on cf cards or
cds. the cf adapter is not included, but the slot is there. I suggest
you cruise on over to http://www.blindcooltech.com/ where there are
reviews of book port and the ptr2. http://www.acbradio.org/ has a
review of the book courier and other things in its main menu program.
Back programs are in the on demand section I think. blind cool tech is
a podcast and you can download older programs and listen. they're mp3
files. ~Merrill
