HI Katie,
Yes, you can play Formats 2, 3, and 4 on a Shuffle. Just be sure to
press Pause when you're done listening before switching to another
track; that saves your place.
If you've been using Anapod Explorer, I would suggest restoring your
iPod before you start using it with iTunes. As soon as you connect
using iTunes and choose to sync with it, everything on the iPod that
was transferred through Anapod Explorer will be erased anyway. All
normal capabilities of the Shuffle will be restored when you connect
using iTunes, but until you restore the Shuffle, tracks will play
only in artist/album title order, not the order in which you transfer
tracks to the Shuffle. This might not be a problem, but if you
transfer a playlist, it won't play in order. So restore it, then
transfer content using iTunes. Good luck.
Cheers,
Anna
