This is not a paid advertisement.  But a friend just introduced me to
Innovative Rehabilitation Technology Inc., which appears to serve
primarily persons who are blind in northern California.  Included in
their current product recommendations is a digital radio that is
accessible to someone without sight: something  I have wondered about
for awhile.  Thought a few people might be interested, even though
this is off-topic strictly speaking.

We've been looking for a HD radio that was easy to use and could be made
more accessible through documentation. We think we found just that radio
from SONY.  The XDR-S3DH Table Top Radio gives you more channels to choose
from on AM stations that deliver FM sound quality and FM stations that
sound like your favorite CDs.  HD Radio programming is free, unlike satellite
radio where you have to purchase a subscription providing high Fidelity
AM/FM/HD Radio Technology.

This radio includes two knobs, one for volume and one Tuning control
providing an analog like approach to accurate digital tuning, so you can
operate this HD Radio right out of the Box.  Between the knobs across the
top of the unit are additional buttons making controllable options more
accessible.  Our founder Vito Proscia fell in love with his system from
the moment he turned it on and he is working on a tutorial tape for the
advanced procedures.

We are especially impressed by the crystal clear sound coming out of this
radio as we scanned for digital stations coming out of Sacramento and
reaching our mountain community here in Grass Valley with excellent Clear
static-free HD digital radio reception.  This is a definite improvement
over our limited analog reception.

This radio also includes a simple Wireless Remote Control that allows you
to punch in your favorite stations.

Wood Based Cabinet with simulated cherry wood finish is designed to fit
into any decor with style.
