As for how many songs you can fit on to the machine, I think someone has
already explained it all depends on the file conversion the bit rate etc but
assuming all songs were mp3's and each file was 3mb in size you'd be looking at
somewhere arounde 9000 leaving room for aplication data rockbox etc.
