You can hook up any accessory, like computer speakers, that fits into a
standard 1/8" headphone jack. so yes, speakers from Apple, or any other type
of portable accessory like that should work fine.
You could even hook up a little FM transmitter to broadcast your music onto
a spot on the FM dial of your car stereo if you wanted.
