[blindipod] ipod shuffle 2nd generation issues

Hi all.
I currently own a first generation IPod Shuffle and I quite like it but
wouldn't mind something with a bigger storage.
I thought about the second generation IPod. I already have Annapod but
actually just prefer to use the rebuild tool.
Will the Rebuild tool work on the second generation IPod? Secondly, to
initialise the shuffle do I need sighted help, or can I just install ITunes
then plug the IPod in?
