[blindipod] Will future iPods be usable at all?

I have been using iPods since 2003 via a combination of memorization and the
limited vision I do have. The audible clicks made by the wheel and the
simplicity of the menues were helpful even though I cannot see well enough
to read the actual text on the display. However, after reading the recent
buyer's guide from iLounge, I wonder whether I will be able to use future
iPods. It seems that with the release of the iPhone and iPod touch, the
clickwheel may not be included in future iPods. The iPhone seems like
a very good product for those with enough vision to use it, but Apple shows
no signs of making it accessible in the future. As a result, I have
purchased an N95 with Talks, which I am happy with so far. It is sad that
Apple has done nothing to make the iPod accessible in the six years that it
has been around. I wonder whether the 160GB iPod I received for christmas
this year will be the last iPod I use.

Eric
