I too am having problems with the Voicebox script. The way I understand it,
VoiceBox should use the voice and speech rate defined in the speech applet
of control panel. In the Speech applet, I have the speech engine set to
Karen Australian and have the speed set at %90. However, when I run the
VoiceBox script the voice it uses is still Microsoft Mary and the speech is
at the default speech rate.

Do I have to modify anything in the VoiceBox script files to get it to use
the Australian voice and my preferred speech rate? If so, in which of the
VoiceBox files should I be making the modifications.

  Hey all. I used the mp3 script voice to voice my dirs and files and it
works like a charm. However, it  as slow as a turtle yet the SAPI voice on
my machine is all the way to 100 percent. How do I speed up the voice so I
don;t have to sit there for ever waiting for it to finish voicing the files?
