[blindipod] a few questions

hi. i have just had an i-pod for christmas. i haven't got it up and running as
yet it's the i-pod shuffle 512 gig model. i'm a bit puzzled as it doesn't seem
to have any connecting cables in the package, just the i-pod, earphones and
carrying strap to put round your neck. plus of course loads of documentation.
is it usual for these devices to come minus USB lead? i have the docking
station which was purchased separately.
