 A couple of folks have asked for directions to the Sabine's Gull on Lake 
Barkley. Without a map in front of me, this is my recollection:
 
Robert Dever and I are heading west from Louisville about 10:00 EST tomorrow, 
hoping to arrive in the area by 1:30 p.m. EST. Not sure about cell coverage in 
the area, but I'll have mine 502/330-3998, plus I can have my radio on at 
channel 11-22.

Directions to the Sabine's Gull: From The Trace in Land Between the Lakes, go 
east towards the Nature Station (from either the north or south this is a 
well-marked turnoff. From the north, go past the Nature Station entrance, past 
Hematite Lake, and up winding hill to crossroad; turn left to the old Empire 
Farm/Silo Overlook; before reaching the gated off entrance to the Silo 
Overlook, you will see a left hand turn; take this and go until you see the 
lake ahead of you and a gravel turnoff to the left that goes down to the lake. 
This is Honker Bay and the bird has been feeding in this area. From the south, 
you will reach the crossroad to Nature Station (left) or Energy Lake (right); 
this is where you have turned left from the Nature Station if entering from 
north, so you'd go straight through this intersection to the lefthand turn 
before the Silo Overlook entrance gate described above.
