[birdky] RPT: Reelfoot Lake CBC KY portion results

Nancy Moore, Ken Leggett, Donna Ward, and myself covered the KY portion
of the Reelfoot Lake CBC circle (plus a little of the Long Point Unit in
Tennessee) on Saturday, December 16th.
We had 81 species in this small chunk of the circle; the count total was
117 species, which tied the count record. Mark Greene has a recent post
to TN-BIRD on the entire count results:

Highlights from the Long Point/South end of Lake No. 9 portion were as
follows:
5 species of geese with approximate totals of 500 Canada; 2 Cackling;
2500 (maybe more?) Snow; 2000 Greater White-fronted; and 2 Ross's.
All of the expected dabblers
A pretty adult "Krider's" Red-tailed Hawk
A Sedge Wren
A Palm Warbler
and at least 25 Lapland Longspurs.
Down in the TN portion of Long Point we also had 11 American Pipits and
an imm. male Common Yellowthroat.
I ran up to Open Pond during the early afternoon to try to find a
Western Meadowlark (no luck) and had probably 100+ more Lapland
Longspurs.
