Did you receive this week your annual report from the Owl Research Institute of 
Charlo, MT.? Denver Holt runs this and what an owl expert he is. Very 
interesting. Remember he was the KOS speaker at Natural Bridges a few years 
ago.I have donated to his cause ever since then.

I was wondering what studies have been done about the voles and mice, etc. at 
Sinclair and how they correspond to Owl and Harrier numbers? Anyone know? If so 
how do you get a copy? I don't think we have any lemmings, ha. When you go thru 
he weeds at Sinclair vole and/or mice runways are all over the place. I have 
watched many a short ear and harrier dive to the ground, but I have never seen 
them lift off carrying anything. I think they must eat "it" on the spot, as 
they usually stay on the ground for several minutes.
