Dec. 11, 2006: The lake at Hutton-Loyd Christmas Tree Farm in Fleming
County was mostly covered by ice this afternoon, but ducks were present
in the open water of a shallow cove adjacent to a beaver wetland. Black
ducks and ring-necked ducks were the most numerous. There appeared to
be a scaup and a couple mallards too (no binoculars).
