I birded briefly at various locations on Barren River Reservoir today.  The 
following is a brief summary of birds of note.  All birds noted are in Barren 
County except the birds from Bailey's Point which were either in Allen County 
or most probably in Allen County.

I briefly bumped into David Roemer and expected him to post.  Since his post 
would have probably more accurate and there was nothing special, I waited on 
him.  However, he has not posted, so here it is.

Beaver Creek:  Barren County

12 Hooded Mergansers
7 Great Blue Herons
100+ Killdeer
10 Ring-billed Gulls
4 Bonaparteâs Gulls
1 Belted Kingfisher

The Peninsula:  Observed Birds in Barren County

1 Common Loon
7 Ring-billed Gulls
1 Belted Kingfisher

The Dam: Observed Birds in Barren County

1 Lesser Scaup
2 Pied-billed Grebes
10 Ring-billed Gulls

Baileyâs Point:  Observed Birds in Allen County except RbMe and LeSc which 
may have been in Barren County, but were most probably in Barren County

12 Buffleheads
100 Red-breasted Mergansers (estimate.)
50 Lesser Scaup (estimate)
3 Ruddy Ducks
7 Common Loons
3 American Coots
Several; Ring-billed Gulls
Few; Bonaparteâs Gulls

That concludes this report.
