Hello,
I know that Mute Swan is an introduced species but I
still thought that there might be some people
interested in seeing it. There is a 1st year Mute Swan
hanging out in the lagoons behind Rural King in
Owensboro. The lagoons can be seen from the Highway 60
bypass and can also be accessed by turning off of what
used to be US 231 across from the whiskey distillary.
Take this road over the hill and then turn left and
drive underneath the bypass. Other birds present
include American Coots and Mallards.
