[birdky] Hermit Thrush

A lone hermit thrush just spent about 10 minutes sitting on the porch rail. The
bird was in plain view and there was no doubt to the ID - though it threw me
for a few minutes until I checked the range maps for this species. For me, it
was strange to see this "summer" bird (I'm originally from NJ) in the snow
flurries. I've spent the last 10 years in FL, where hermit thrushes do winter
- but everything is appropriately green there this time of year. Goes to show
you, you CAN teach an old birder new tricks!
