I don't know if this will post okay, but the sad article found at the
site below is worth reading. There is another site given there that
shows several pictures of the birds and the nest.

evicted from his nest, and the flap has already begun. So said aggrieved
bird-watchers and neighbors after workmen raised a scaffold to the top
of a Manhattan apartment Tuesday and ripped out the famous red-tailed
hawk's nest.
