I am posting the following information for my brother, Frank, of New
Columbia, IL.

The Mermet Lake IL/KY CBC will be held on December 31st, Compiler Frank
Bennett. Contact at fkbennett@xxxxxxxxx or call (618) 524-7370.
Pre-registration is required. This count is fairly new and is sanctioned by
the National Audubon Society. Last year was our best year by far, with 112
total species for the circle. The Kentucky area of the circle (northwest
McCracken County) comprises close to 1/3 of the circle and has always been
under birded on the past CBCs.  Much of the property is TVA and USEC/West
Kentucky WMA.  Registration/contact by e-mail is preferred.  As I screen all
