Rhonda and I visited Bernheim Saturday the 4th. We saw no Eagles, no
Blue Jays. We did see large numbers of Red-tailed, 1 Cooper's, and 1
Sharpy, and 1 Horned Lark.
The 53 mile drive from Lexington to my parents house yesterday in
eastern Harrison County had the following bird count: 19 Red-tailed, 2
Cooper's, 10 Turkey Vulture, 4 Kestrel, 5 Crow, 1 MUTE SWAN (Bourbon Co
pond). The only other birds I saw (not including House Sparrow, Rock
Dove, or Starlings) were 1 Blue Jay, 1 Flicker, and 2 Blue Birds. There
were 4 Blue Jays in their yard, however. We also had a Great Horned Owl
on the return.
