calurus x krideri adult  McElroy Lake area (dry)
Really cool looking bird with dark throat, heavy belly
band, and light pale-based tail.  Also shows a lot of
white in the inner webs of the primaries from above.

Nice influx of Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs in
the Woodburn area/WKU Farm.  Numbers of these birds
have been very low until today when several hundred
larks and 50+ longspurs were observed.  Approximately
50 pipits were also present at McElroy.  

The hatch-year male Rufous Hummingbird which had been
present in my yard in Warren County since October 11
seems to have departed.  He hasn't been observed since
December 2.  My guess is he's on his way over to
Jackie's.
