Four particpants in two parties on Monday, December 23rd.
Highlights of species list of 81 species included the following:
2,000-3,000 Snow Geese; 140 Greater White-fronted Geese; all the regular
dabblers; 29 Bald Eagles; 2 dark morph and 1 krideri Red-tailed Hawks (the
latter had several pure white inner primaries on each wing!); 2 American
Woodcocks peenting at dawn; 2 Eastern Phoebes, 1 Marsh Wren (La Center) and
2 Le Conte's Sparrows (West KY WMA). Misses included Pied-billed Grebe,
both vultures; many divers; Killdeer; Loggerhead Shrike, and Yellow-rumped
Warbler.
