[birdky] birds on ice

Snow and ice cover the favorite resting spots of the gulls, herons and other
mud flat lovers. Lapland Longspurs, horned larks and American Pipits can be
seen along the dirt roads. The gulls at the KY marina are grouped up near
the parking lot. I stopped and shared my lunch with them today. Loons,
coots, shovelers, horned and pied billed grebes were also hanging close to
shore.
It should be a good weekend to get out and see what winter birds have
arrived.
