A late female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was at the feeder this morning.
Lots of JUNCOES in the woods; active BARRED OWL in pine tree near
bedroom windows; many AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES on thistle sock and feeders;
a few HOUSE FINCHES; one PURPLE FINCH; plenty of other yard birds!
An array of brightly colored leaves literally is hanging on all around
the house and in the woods. Plus the pear trees add their golden touch
and the high bush blueberry bushes have begun to turn scarlet.
