[birdky] RPT: Yellow-headed Blackbird in Webster County

This afternoon I encountered at least three massive flocks of blackbirds
feeding in agricultural fields of Hopkins and Webster counties. I stopped to
scan one of the flocks in western Webster County and found a pretty adult male
Yellow-headed Blackbird in the group. Despite the constant shuffling of the
flock I was able to see it three times and got a few very fuzzy photos of its
bright yellow head. The flock of 50,000-100,000 birds was frightened into the
sky on several occasions by raptors ... the most spectacular time was when a
Merlin dove through the group, dissecting the mass into several whirling clouds!
