The Board of Directors of Beckham Bird Club  distributed the 2007 Birdathon 
funds that were raised this year. In all $11,400  was distributed to the 
following organizations. Thanks to all who generously  contributed to the BBC 
Birdathon.  
Kentucky  State Nature Preserves -  $2500 - Funds will assist with the 
purchase of a 315 acre addition to Three  Ponds State Nature Preserve along the 
Mississippi River in Hickman  County. 
Kentucky  Natural Lands Trust -  $2000 – Funds will go to the Pine Mountain 
Legacy Project for operating support  to KNLT and to protect critical natural 
areas on Pine  Mountain. 
Kentucky  Resources Council  - $1000 – Funds will be utilized in support of 
the Council’s work on air, waste,  water, mining, and general environmental  
advocacy. 
Raptor  Rehabilitation of Kentucky  - $900 – Funds will be used to educate 
urban school children and adults on the  importance of habitat and the 
environment through programs and outreaches which  give close-up looks at 
raptors. 
Louisville  Nature Center  - $1000 – Funds will be used to pay for field 
trips, with emphasis on bird and  wildlife habitat, for students from Title 1 
Schools in  Louisville. 
Operation  Migration  - $1000 – Funds will be used to continue the efforts to 
bring back the Whooping  Crane to the eastern United States. 
Kentucky  Conservation Committee  - $2000 – Funds will be used to provide 
staff support to the Land Stewardship  and Conservation Task Force. 
Lost  River Cave and Valley -  $1000 – Funds will be used to pay for labor 
and plant material to restore native  Kentucky bird habitat to attract a 
variety 
of bird  species.
