[birdky] RPT: November hummers at Louisville
- From: "Palmer-Ball, Brainard (EPPC OOS KNPC)" <Brainard.Palmer-Ball@xxxxxx>

Yesterday, November 3rd, I checked out two leads on late hummers and found them
both to be Ruby-throateds! One is a female, probably an adult, that does not
appear to be in good health; it has many feathers that have lost their green
tips on the upperparts due to abnormally long retention of old feathers; this
is probably due to a delay in molt suggesting poor health. The second was a
full adult male that appeared in all respects to be healthy and normal in
behavior; it was especially shocking to see in November!
I know there were a few other hummers present during the last week of October
thanks to BIRDKY posts, but does anyone else still have a hummer?
