Doing Cornell Feederwatch requires one to be attentive on watch days, which increases the chance of seeing those random birds that pop in and out. Had a good week so far. Besides the usual backyard birds -- house finches, goldfinches, robins, etc, I have also had a yellow- bellied sapsucker, a red-bellied nuthatch, a winter wren (seen and heard), a brown creeper, a female purple finch and 50+ cedar waxwings. Since Sunday, I have seen 21 different species.
