11/18/06
6:30am to 10:30am
32º rising to 48º overcast to partly cloudy
I stopped at Hardy Slough, Woods Tract, Anderson Pond, 268 slough,
Horseshoe Road slough, Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake Unit
Highlights:
Tundra Swans 7, at 6:30 they were across 268 from Woods Tract, at
10:30 they were in Woods Tract at the extreme south edge
Greater White Fronted Geese, they outnumbered the Canadas at Woods
Tract on both sides of 268
N. Harriers 2 males and 1 female near HRs
Greater Yellowlegs 1 at GP/PL
LAPLAND LONGSPURS with Horned Larks in harvested fields in a group
numbering perhaps 100 at HRs
The Lapland Longspurs were a life bird for me.
