[birdky] Observations

Over the past 3 days we have been over much of our native grass fields, both on foot and in our little truck. We saw no sparrows, which we thought was odd. The grass was harvested for hay around August 1 but has come back quickly and is seeding out. However, from a brush pile at the edge of one of our fields near the riverbank, I flushed a big covey of quail.
